Popular Serizawa Acts Weird around Me follows the story of Suzuki, a loner student who secretly writes a BL novel. Suzuki uses Serizawa, a popular guy in an outgoing group, as the model for his romance story. When Serizawa ends up reading the novel, Suzuki panics, convinced he will be mocked. Instead, Serizawa unexpectedly showers the novel with praise. From that day on, Serizawa keeps finding reasons to hang around Suzuki and invite him out. Before Suzuki can even process what is happening, the popular student steadily closes the distance between them. Why me, Suzuki wonders, yet Serizawa only becomes more persistent. He is not planning to let Suzuki get away. Before he realizes it, Suzuki finds himself being swept along at Serizawa's pace as the two grow unexpectedly close. This charming adaptation of the manga by Tsubaki Yuzu is a sweet and engaging romance that explores an unlikely connection.
