Match Point follows Sun, a perfect school tennis player, and Bay, an indie art track boy, whose fathers, Chun and Bee, are locked in a fierce rivalry. Their families own competing dim sum restaurants on Krong Thong Road, with Sun's family running the traditional Saming Phon Fai and Bay's family operating Merlion, a trendy new spot famous for its shumai. When Bay joins a tennis tryout just to annoy Sun, Sun suffers an injury, leading to a loss and a principal-ordered rematch. This prompts their fathers to make a high-stakes deal: the family of the losing player must close their restaurant for good. However, unexpected circumstances force Bay and Sun to pair up as a doubles team representing their school, a secret they must keep from their feuding fathers. As they train together at an out-of-town resort, romance blossoms. The boys make a desperate wager of their own: if they win the championship, their fathers must allow them to date, but if they lose, they will part ways forever.
